Sacramento, CA – Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and Aeromexico are celebrating 15 years of partnership, marking a milestone in the airline's longstanding commitment to connecting Northern California with Mexico.
Since launching service at SMF in 2011, Aeromexico has provided travelers throughout the Sacramento region with convenient access to Mexico. Today, the airline operates seasonal nonstop service between Sacramento and Guadalajara, one of the region's strongest international markets, helping connect families, support business travel, and strengthen cultural ties between the two regions.
To commemorate the anniversary, Sacramento International Airport and Aeromexico will host a gate side celebration on Wednesday, July 15, prior to the airline's midnight departure to Guadalajara. The event will recognize the partnership and thank the passengers, employees and community members who have supported the route over the past 15 years.
"For 15 years, Aeromexico has been an important partner in connecting the Sacramento region with Mexico," said Cindy Nichol, Director of Airports for Sacramento County. "This milestone reflects the strength of our community's ties to Mexico and our shared commitment to providing travelers with reliable international service. We look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come."
" Sacramento has been an important part of Aeromexico’s network for the past 15 years, and we are grateful to our travelers, employees, airport partners, and business partners whose continued support has contributed to the success of this route.
